INNOVATIVE NEW TOOL RESTORES THREADS ON BOLTS AND STUDS
Chase Em'Back Tools™ has designed a set of tools that easily solves the problem of
restoring rusted, painted and damaged threads. Say goodbye to the time consuming method
of repairing damaged threads with a thread file and a steel brush. With Chase Em' Back
Tools™ you can restore damaged threads in minutes instead of hours.
The patented design of the tools allows you to wrap around the threads and the reverse
thread or chase back the damaged threads. Each individual tool is made of heat treated
hardened steel and they are anodized. These tools won’t hurt the integrity of the bolt or stud
while giving you a perfectly repaired thread.
These tools are available in protective carrying cases. The lid of each case contains a
layout of individual sizes and their location within the case. Also, each of these black
anodized tools are very clearly laser inscribed with the size and thread count. Standard and
metric sets are available in various configurations. The standard sizes range from ¼" to ½"
and the metric from 6mm to 12mm. Combination sets are available with both standard and
metric sets. Of course, these tools can handle fine and coarse threads. Some cases of
Chase Em' Back Tools come with an easy to use T-bar and socket.
Each case is designed with a recessed cutout for each tool. So no matter how many tools
are in the set, it’s organized at all times. When the right size tool is chosen to repair thread
damage, it is opened and then closed or wrapped around the threads to be repaired. The
provided T-bar and socket keeps the Chase Em’ Back Tool™ closed while it is chasing back
and restoring the damaged threads. You may choose to use an open end wrench, a socket,
vice grips or even channel locks to keep the tool closed while chasing the damaged threads.
A word of caution for the end user. All Chase Em’ Back Tools™ come with a 30 day money
back guarantee and a lifetime warranty. These tools are to be used by hand and with the
tools just listed above. DO NOT use an impact wrench or any other power tool. This will void
the lifetime warranty. With the proper care and handling, Chase Em’ Back Tool™ sets can be
passed from generation to generation.
Chase Em' Back Tools™ manufactures tool sets for uses other than just bolts and wheel
studs on most cars and light trucks. If you have a newer vehicle, there is a set of Chase Em'
Back Tools™ with a unilug system for right hand threads. There is another set of Chase Em'
Back Tools™ for the ball and seat lugs of older vehicles. This set has both right and left hand
threads.
Another difficult task for mechanics is removing a damaged glow plug...the GP-100 kit has
everything you need for this task. It comes with 10mm and 12mm sizes. The GP-100 set also
comes with thread extenders and shims to make glow plug removal a snap.
While mechanics have their problems with damaged bolts and studs, the construction industry
has the ongoing problem of damaged anchor bolt threads. Like mechanics, construction workers
spend hours and hours cleaning and restoring the threads of anchor bolts. Many building codes
now require galvanized anchor bolts over steel because of the added durability. Galvanizing is
done in two ways. Standard bolts with smooth threads are galvanized by electroplating. Anchor
bolts for the construction industry are dipped. This often leaves a lot of the excess dipping on
the bolt, thus clogging the threads. Anchor bolts also get clogged with cement during
construction. Workers have to spend many hours wire brushing and filing to repair the threads.
Long galvanized anchor bolts have to be straightened to align up for proper code construction.
Oftentimes when the long galvanized anchor bolt is straightened, the threads are badly
damaged. Tolerances are important when firmly securing the carbon steel nut onto the anchor
bolt. Galvanized metal is 15/1000 thicker than carbon steel. Chase Em’ Back Tools™ ensures a
perfect between fit the galvanized and the carbon steel.
Meeting deadlines, maintaining customer satisfaction and saving time and money are all
benefits of owning and using Chase Em’ Back Tools™ on a regular basis. For more information
